Before Applying

Eligibility constraints vary across these programs. The MSME Innovative Scheme requires MSME registration. The EDII Tamil Nadu programs are restricted to enterprises based in Tamil Nadu. The Andhra University grant is limited to the AU ecosystem. Many competitions require DPIIT recognition or an Indian registered entity. The Genesis program explicitly targets deep science startups at TRL 2–3, so earlier-stage ventures may not qualify.

Several deadlines are imminent: the Ericsson Innovation Challenge closes on 22 July, STPI-Schneider on 17 July, SLINGSHOT on 27 July, and Genesis on 31 July. Rolling applications are open for the MSME Design Scheme, both EDII programs, the Andhra University grant, and Maruti Suzuki NURTURE – but cohort-based programs may have limited intake. Process nuances include proof-of-concept requirements, paid PoC opportunities, and participation in pitching rounds.
