OpenAI Codex Hackathon - Bengaluru

This hackathon, co-hosted with GrowthX.club, invites ambitious developers to a day of intensive building with OpenAI Codex. It is designed for experienced builders who already utilize AI coding tools daily and are proficient in shipping production-grade code, not for beginners. Participants are expected to move quickly, either by creating new projects from scratch or significantly enhancing existing open-source projects using Codex. The event encourages leveraging subagents, parallel tasks, plugins, and worktrees to achieve high velocity and ambitious outcomes. Each builder will receive valuable API credits and a one-month subscription to ChatGPT Pro.

Registration Details

• Attendance is capped to ensure a high-signal, deeply hands-on environment, with a maximum of four members per team.
• Registration is subject to approval due to venue capacity. Applicants must complete the form with accurate details; incomplete or inaccurate submissions will not be admitted.
• For team participation, all members must register individually and secure separate approvals.

Build Directions There is no fixed theme, but the focus is on ambitious builds that would be impossible without Codex. Participants are encouraged to build with Codex or on top of it, exploring areas such as:

• Agentic Coding: Developing tools that maximize leverage from Codex as an new AI coding agent.
• UX for Agentic Applications: Designing AI-native interaction patterns and product flows.
• Multimodal Intelligence: Creating systems that reason across text, voice, and vision.
• Domain Agents: Deep diving into vertical agents with real-world constraints.
• Building Evals: Constructing tooling to measure, debug, and improve agent performance.

Prizes An exciting prize pool exceeding 100,000 USD in credits and subscriptions will be revealed at the event.
