Payment Information: Subscription payments are securely processed through third-party payment providers. We do not store complete card numbers, UPI PINs, or banking credentials.

Content interaction data, including viewed pages, saved grants, and platform engagement activity.

2. How We Use Your Information
Account Management: To create your account, send verification emails, and provide unlimited grant access.
Site Operation: To ensure functionality (e.g., session cookies for login).
Communication: To send account-related communications including verification emails, login alerts, password reset links, subscription updates, grant alerts, product updates, marketing communications, and customer support messages via email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp.

Service Providers:
Supabase: Stores your signup data for authentication.
Vercel: Hosts the Site and processes technical data.

Payment Provider (PayU): We use PayU India (operated by PayU Payments Private Limited, an RBI-licensed payment aggregator) to process subscription payments. When you initiate a payment we share the following with PayU: your name, phone number, the transaction amount, GST breakdown, and a unique internal customer reference. We do NOT share your real email address with PayU; receipts and GST invoices are sent to you directly from team@startupgrantsindia.com. PayU may use the data we share for payment processing, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and to communicate transaction status via SMS to the phone number you provided. PayU’s own privacy policy applies to data they collect directly (such as your card / UPI ID, which we never see).
Subscription Management: To process subscriptions, manage billing status, and provide access to subscriber-only features.
Legal Requirements: We may share data if required by Indian law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Storage and Security
Storage: Data is stored with Supabase and Vercel in secure cloud servers (which may include servers located outside India.).
Security: We use encryption and industry-standard measures, however, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Retention:We keep your data while your account is active or as needed for legal compliance (e.g., 2 years for inactive accounts). Account-related information, including email addresses and phone numbers, may be retained as long as necessary for platform operations, legal compliance, fraud prevention, support, subscription management, and legitimate business purposes.
6. Your Rights (Under India’s DPDP Act, 2023)
Access: Request a copy of your data.
Correction: Update your name or phone number by contacting us.
Deletion: Request account deletion, we’ll remove your data unless legally required to retain it.
