A prototyping grant for innovators and startups moving an idea to a working hardware or software prototype.

Best for: Young innovators and startups moving from idea to prototype

  • Guidance on product development, commercialisation, business concepts and market strategy

Grant scheme

Seed support for incubated startups that are taking a product towards commercialisation.

Best for: Startups already incubated at iHub that are commercialising a product

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Seed support is given to the incubator as a grant, which it passes on to incubated startups as a soft loan, against equity, or as a mix of both. The aim is to help a startup raise angel or venture capital, or a bank loan, after its product is built.

Who can apply

  • Registered private companies with at least three months of incubation at the incubator, by the time of the selection committee meeting
  • Indian start-ups. Indian subsidiaries of MNCs and foreign companies are not eligible
  • Indian promoters holding at least 51% of the shares
  • Startups can be funded only once under the programme

How selection works: a selection committee constituted by the incubator recommends disbursement. IP generated with the funding vests with the startup.

Grant scheme

Commercialisation support for incubated startups, given through the incubator as a soft loan, against equity or as a mix of both.

DIAL is designed to support the commercialisation of products developed by startups under the incubation programme. It helps startups reach a level where they can attract angel or venture capital, or secure a bank loan.

Who can apply

  • Registered private companies with at least three months of incubation at the time of the selection committee meeting
  • Indian entities. Indian subsidiaries of MNCs and foreign companies are not eligible
  • Indian promoters holding at least 51% of the shares
  • Startups can be funded only once under the programme

How selection works: disbursement is based on the recommendation of a committee constituted by the incubator. IP generated with the funding vests with the startup.
