The Forge is one of Sampo Accelerator's two intensive, short-duration programs, often organized three batches a year. It targets early-stage companies at the launch stage, although pre- or post-launch are acceptable. The program focuses on helping technical founders build great companies by increasing their focus on customers and building a well-functioning business, rather than merely preparing for investment rounds. It operates on a zero-equity, alumni-supported model and seeks first or second-time co-founders with a science, engineering, or design background and a demo-able product. Participants are selected based on the team.

It provides an opportunity for founders to reflect and think about what will actually make a difference to their company.
