NexHack 2.0 is a 36-hour national-level hackathon organised by the Institute of Information Technology & Management (IITM), New Delhi, scheduled for 25th–26th September 2026. The hackathon brings together student innovators from across India to build AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges.
Who Should Apply
Open to students from all colleges and universities. Teams of 2–5 members. Cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged, and beginners are highly welcome.
Format & Timeline
The competition has multiple phases:
- Phase 1: Registration — Register via Devfolio before the deadline.
- Phase 2: Online Idea Presentation (5th September 2026) — Teams present their project idea online to a mentor panel, covering problem statement, proposed solution, tech stack, key features, expected impact, prototype (recommended), and future scope. A Q&A session follows.
- Phase 3: Shortlisting — Top-scoring teams from the online round advance to the finale.
- Phase 4: Final Offline Hackathon (25th–26th September 2026) — Shortlisted teams build, refine, and enhance their solutions over 36 hours at IITM, Janakpuri, New Delhi, with mentorship and industry guidance.
- Phase 5: Final Evaluation & Winner Announcement — Teams demo their working solutions; winners are announced at the closing ceremony.
Judging Criteria
Online round: Innovation & Originality (25%), Problem Relevance & Impact (20%), Feasibility (20%), Technical Approach (15%), Presentation Clarity (10%), Scalability & Future Scope (10%).
Final round: Innovation, Technical Complexity, Functionality, UI/UX, Real-world Impact, Presentation, Scalability, Business Potential.
Prizes
Total cash prize pool of INR 37,000+, plus swags, goodies, and participation certificates for all eligible participants. Food and refreshments provided throughout the 36-hour offline hackathon. Free accommodation for shortlisted offline participants.
