Since 2015, SpinLab has helped over 240 innovators scale their businesses by providing hands-on guidance, access to vital infrastructure, and a robust international network. The program is unique in its commitment to founders: it takes absolutely no equity, shares, or intellectual property, ensuring that companies retain 100% ownership throughout and after the program.
The accelerator focuses on fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, particularly in Central Germany, by connecting startups with industry leaders, investors, and potential pilot project partners. Its hybrid format combines intensive on-site focus weeks in Leipzig with flexible online modules, making it accessible to startups globally. SpinLab is an official technology hub within Germany's Digital Hub Initiative, offering special incentives and resources for startups aligned with its core focus areas.

This includes a guaranteed EUR 6,000 (approximately ₹6.54 lakh) upon acceptance to cover living and travel costs during the program's on-site focus weeks in Leipzig. Additional funding up to the EUR 50,000 ceiling can be secured through competitive awards for the best pitch, most sustainable idea, best value for Leipzig, community award, and fastest user growth at the Investors Day. Startups not based in Leipzig may also receive an extra EUR 4,000 (approximately ₹4.36 lakh) if they choose to expand or relocate operations to Leipzig. Beyond the financial support, the program offers personalized 1:1 coaching and mentorship from industry leaders, unparalleled access to an international network of investors and corporate partners for pilot projects, and enhanced brand visibility. Participants also benefit from free co-working space in Leipzig, tech deals, and various workshops on legal, financial, marketing, and sales strategies, alongside support for internationalization and recruitment.

After the application deadline, all submitted applications will undergo an initial evaluation by the SpinLab team. The best applicants will then be invited to pitch live to SpinLab's exclusive advisory board. Typically, 12-15 teams are selected for this live pitch round, leading to the final selection of startups for the accelerator class.
