The Startup Acceleration Program is SpinLab's main programme. It runs as a class with a fixed start and end, and the current one starts in January 2027 and ends in June 2027. SpinLab takes no fee, no equity, no shares and no intellectual property from accepted startups.
What you get
- Free office space and round-the-clock access to the coworking space in Leipzig's old cotton mill.
- Coaching and mentoring, and access to SpinLab's network of founders, established companies and investors.
- Funding to help cover living costs while you attend. SpinLab's pages describe the funding differently, so confirm the current terms on the application page.
- A month-by-month curriculum, which SpinLab says is subject to change, that ends with the HHL SpinLab Investors Day, its demo day, in the fourth month.
Who can apply
- A complete founding team of two to four founders with the skills and experience the business needs.
- Business-level fluency in German or English.
- Technology-based startups in energy, smart city or digital city, eHealth and cross-functional industries, ideally at pre-seed or in an expansion phase. Teams that have closed earlier funding rounds can apply.
- SpinLab's pages do not say whether founders from outside the European Union can apply.
How selection works: SpinLab does not describe its selection process beyond the application itself.
How to apply: Upload a current pitch deck as a PDF of 10 to 15 slides, or a pitch video of 7 to 10 minutes, and submit the application on the F6S startup platform before 8 October 2026. The Summer School is run with HHL Digital Space. It is a one-week programme in Leipzig, in English, with German possible. SpinLab takes no shares and no fees.
What you get
- Workshops and one-to-one coaching during the week.
- A public pitch event, where teams compete for the Digital Award given by the City of Leipzig.
Who can apply
- Teams with at least one member from an underrepresented or diverse background.
- A concrete business idea. A registered company is not required.
- At least one team member in Leipzig for the week. SpinLab accepts applications from all over Europe and does not say whether teams from other regions can apply.
How selection works: Teams are chosen from the applications. SpinLab does not describe the process in more detail.
How to apply: Apply on the F6S startup platform with a questionnaire and a pitch deck or a pitch video of up to 120 seconds. Questions go to summerschool@spinlab.co. The 2026 edition has taken place. The 2027 week is listed for 19 to 23 July 2027 and the application deadline has not been announced, so the programme is not open now.
Alumni Growth Membership
