IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre (IIML-EIC)

Established in 2011 as a Section 8 company by IIM Lucknow, the Enterprise Incubation Centre (IIML-EIC) operates from IIM Lucknow's Noida campus in Sector 62. Supported by NSTEDB (DST) and the Uttar Pradesh State Government, IIML-EIC provides strategic guidance, mentoring, funding, and resources for the successful commercialisation and scale-up of technology products. Portfolio spans approximately 121 startups across 4 countries.

Programs

Startup 101 Business Incubation Program (24 months):

  • Phase 1 (months 1–12): Product commercialisation, technology validation, customer discovery, go-to-market strategy.
  • Phase 2 (months 13–24): Scaling, investor readiness, team building, global expansion, and live investor access.

Additional programs: Ideation Program, Acceleration Program, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program, and Finovate Acceleration Program (fintech).

Seed Funding

  1. IIML Venture Fund — Up to ₹25 lakh (CCPS); for DPIIT-recognised companies incubated at IIML-EIC.
  2. NIDHI Seed Support Program (NIDHI-SSP) — Up to ₹50 lakh (equity/OCD/CCD); minimum 3 months incubation required.
  3. Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) — Up to ₹50 lakh for startups incorporated ≤2 years ago.

Top 25% of each cohort receive assured seed investment. Startups gain access to in-house supercomputer, 1-on-1 mentor sessions, corporate partner market access, and a startup toolkit worth ₹3.5 crore.

Who Should Apply

Technology-driven startups incorporated in India with DPIIT recognition, at least one full-time founder holding ≥51% equity, and a prototype or MVP ready. Sector-agnostic but strongly prefers ventures where technology is the core of the product or service.
