About Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) at IIML EIC
IIML EIC is a Startup India Seed Fund Scheme incubator. The scheme funds proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry and commercialisation, and at this centre it is disbursed as optionally convertible debt.
Who can apply
- A DPIIT-recognised startup incorporated not more than two years before applying
- Technology at the core of the product, service or business model
- Indian promoters holding at least 51% of the shareholding at the time of application
- The startup must not already have taken substantial monetary support under another central or state government scheme
How selection works: Through the centre's Incubator Seed Management Committee, which includes its Faculty In Charge, its managing director as the incubator's nominee, an industry expert and a member of the government startup nodal team.
