A 9-month program offering essential support, study sessions, action learning, and mentoring to launch and lead a social enterprise, charity, or business.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

This is the flagship programme of SSE India, a 9 month long programme with 24-30 contact days. It focuses on fostering a social entrepreneurial mindset, mastering business skills, measuring and communicating social impact, testing and selling products/services, and building resilience. The program's in-person learning blocks are held over 3-4 days each month from April to December in Delhi NCR. It is open to individuals from all backgrounds, ages (18+), and locations within India who are passionate about creating positive social or environmental change and have innovative ideas. Thanks to partners, successful applicants pay no tuition or accommodation costs; participants are responsible for their own travel expenses.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) has partnered with Badiri Education and Development Academy (BSEP) and NAMA Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA) since 2018 to support female entrepreneurs. The programme was held in India, UK, and Sharjah.

Supports women in Jawahar Nagar Kachchi Basti in Jaipur to establish a private limited company for handmade products.

SSE India, in partnership with Finish Society and supported by PwC and National Peroxide Limited, has supported 150 women. These women have established 'Hamari Hunarshala', a private limited company that serves as a platform for developing skills, producing handmade products, and trading them in the market. The company is owned, managed, and run by the women of Kachchi Basti.

Offers an Entrepreneurship Learning Programme for tribal youth (18-35 years) to promote entrepreneurial solutions to tackle issues around tribal communities.

SSE India, along with Transforming Rural India Foundation under the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) programme, provides this opportunity. The approach keeps tribal people at the center, ensuring entrepreneurs and enterprises benefit tribal communities, regardless of whether solutions come from tribal people or outsiders, or if tribal people become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs work in tribal areas trading in tribal products.

Aims to equip and enable WASH entrepreneurs by providing ongoing support to develop their business models, create, and scale up their enterprises.

The programme endeavors to drive a WASH economy that will impact WASH products and services in Odisha, in line with the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) mandate, eventually benefiting communities. This programme is delivered in partnership with Pantiss Foundation, supported by Unicef.
