The Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer initiated the implementation of the Startup Incubation program at IIT Delhi in 1999-2000.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

The Institute’s incubation program aims converting technology-based innovative ideas into commercially viable products. It offers early investments in deeptech startups, ranging from 4 Lakh to 1 Crore for grants and 10 Lakhs to 1.5 Cr for debt/equity.

Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE 2.0)

Grant scheme

Supports tech entrepreneurship through financial and technical support to incubators engaged in supporting ICT startups primarily engaged in using emerging technologies.

Pfizer provides a grant of Rs.3.7 crore to FITT for support to four CSR incubation projects and filing of upto 10 IPs for technologies in the pharmaceutical / healthcare sector.

The program provides physical infrastructure at the Biotechnology Business Incubator, funding support to take ideas to proof of concept/product prototyping and IP stage, mentoring support from IIT Delhi faculty, experts, and Pfizer colleagues, and opportunities to engage with venture capitalists and industry for commercialisation.

AIM supports the AIC for creating world-class incubation facility with over 10,000 sqft of space and state-of-the-art physical infrastructure, capital equipment and operating facilities for incubatee start-ups. It also provides business-planning support, access to sectoral experts for mentoring and seed capital, industry partnerships, training and other relevant components.

Startup Incubation programThe Incubator primarily supports technology-driven startups working on innovative products/ processes (Preferably in the first five years since inception at the time of application). Registered in India as private limited companies under the Companies Act 2013. Resident Indian citizens should hold the majority (> 50%) of shares.
