What you get, who can apply and how to apply

The program mainly targets a valid PoC to be transformed to a prototype or a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) by providing ample opportunities and support in terms of product development assistance, access to technical experts and mentoring. Thus the program provides facility for the development of PoC/ready product thus bridging the gap between idea and prototype funding. Program Timeline: 12 Months (May be extended to 18 months in special cases with approval from the committee). Eligibility: The applicant must have completed the basic graduation. The applicant should be a citizen of India with possession of a government approved proof of nationality such as a valid passport, voter’s id etc. The applicant may be individual innovator or a startup. (startup should be less than 5 years old as on the date of application) The applicant (if not a startup) must be willing to incorporate a company within 3 months of the acceptance of the Grant. The grant support should not be utilized as a make shift arrangement to support academic pursuits or to transition between jobs. Preferences will be given to Woman entrepreneurs for TIDE 2.0. Students are encouraged to apply and take up the start up journey leveraging emerging technologies.

SAMRIDH Scheme

Accelerator

Provides equity funding up to Rs. 80 lakhs (maximum 40 lakhs from MeitY and Rs 40 lakhs from a co-investor) to accelerate startups by providing customer connect, investor connect and internationalization connect services.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Maker Village is entrusted to nourish eight startups who are into electronics product development and manufacturing through this scheme. The program will focus on accelerating startups from a prototype stage to commercialization. The program includes onboarding eight startups through screening of received applications. Accelerators shall be tasked with developing customized acceleration programs to fit the needs of each startup in the cohort and provide services ranging from customer connect, investor connect, capacity enhancement, product enhancement. The selected applications will have to undertake mentorship for 6 months in the domain as required for scaling of prototype. After successful completion of the mentorship program, the successful startup will be selected eligible for equity funding. Eligibility: Applicant should be a citizen of India, aged 18+, with DPIIT registered startup status. Startup must use electronics product technology, have a minimum graduation in science or technology, and 51% Indian promoter shareholding. Startup must have a working MVP/POC with a minimum TRL of 3, market fit, viable for commercialization, and scope for scaling.

Nidhi-Accelerator Programme

Accelerator

A nine-month acceleration program providing rigorous mentoring, networking support, and up to INR 10 Lakhs prize money for best-performing start-ups, focusing on medical/healthcare domain.

This program is intended to tap innovations and technologies for venture creation by utilizing expertise and infrastructure of the host institution i.e., Maker Village. The program focuses on start-ups who are developing innovative products in the medical/health care domain. Benefits: Fast track structured programme helping ideas get accelerated to the next level, introduction to entrepreneurial development & identifying business opportunities, validate product ideas, engage with potential customers, building a scalable business model, building upon MVP/POC, manage team dynamics, pitching sessions to investors, demo day at the end of the programme. Eligibility: Applicant (Founder/Director) must be an Indian citizen, over 18, with exposure in life sciences, Engineering, medicine, human biology or equivalent. Educational qualification: graduate (B.Tech, BE, MBBS or equivalent) or postgraduate (MSc, MS, M.Tech, MPhil, MD or equivalent) & PhD or equivalent. Startup company registered at DPIIT, with 51% Indian promoter shareholding. Startup existence not greater than 5 years. Must have a working MVP/POC with a Minimum TRL of 5, market fit, viable commercialization, and scope of scaling. Start-up should be using technology in its core product or service, or business model, or distribution model, or methodology to solve the problem being targeted. Start-ups creating innovative solutions in Medical devices, Medicare, Health care, and other allied domains seeking mentorship for technical and business guidance which may include support in designing, producing/manufacturing, scaling up, marketing, commercialisation etc can apply for the program. The approved applicants will have to agree for Pre incubation/ Incubation with Maker Village as per its incubation policy/terms.
