About Maker Village

Maker Village is India's largest electronic hardware incubator and ESDM facility, located within the Kerala Technology Innovation Zone in Kochi. It is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Government of Kerala, with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) as a partner and the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K) as the implementation agency.

The 60,000 sq ft facility includes co-working spaces, electronics and instrumentation labs, a metal machining area, industrial 3D printing and plastics facilities, and an industrial SMT line. Maker Village is dedicated to IoT, wearables, and robotics, and has incubated more than 82 Kerala-based hardware startups. The incubator provides electronic design automation tools, mechanical design tools, marketing and prototyping facilities, and financial assistance through grants and loans.
