Adi Shankara IEDC Boot Camp (ABC)

Kerala Startup Mission inaugurated this centre at ASIET on 10 February 2015, and the college calls it the Adi Shankara IEDC Boot Camp, or ABC. It is a student innovation cell. It runs innovation challenges, entrepreneurship awareness camps, skill development and design thinking workshops, hackathons, startup boot camps, product expos and sessions with mentors and investors, and it keeps a pre-incubation co-working space for students who have registered a startup.

Who can apply

• Students of the college. In the centre's own words: "Membership is open to all students of the college."
• Nobody else. No route is published for a founder from outside ASIET.

What you get

• Membership of the campus centre and its year-round events.
• A desk in the Business Hub, its pre-incubation co-working space, once your startup is registered.
• Mentors from industry and academia, and guidance on applying for government funding.
• Standing, as an IEDC member, to go after Kerala Startup Mission's own student schemes. Those are KSUM's programmes and the application goes to KSUM.

How to apply: fill in the membership form at the IEDC office on campus, or online through the centre's site. The office is open Monday to Friday during the day, and on Saturdays for student project development.
