Incubation (3 months, extendable to 6)

Selected start-ups are incubated at the STPI Gurugram facility. In this period each start-up completes a set of defined tasks: it validates the idea through industry contact, builds a proof of concept or MVP, shows a customer acquisition plan by winning its first customers, sets up a revenue stream and a payment cycle, and writes a business plan. Mentors work with each start-up on time-bound results. The centre also runs master classes on defining entrepreneurship and on identifying a problem and building a solution.

How selection works: Completing the incubation tasks decides whether a start-up becomes eligible for the acceleration programme.
