About ASPIRE-TBI incubation
ASPIRE-TBI takes applications all year through an incubation proforma linked from its site. There is no cohort and no deadline.
What you get
- Lab and incubation space on the University of Hyderabad campus at Gachibowli.
- Use of the centre's instruments: HPLC, lyophilizer, fume hoods, laminar flow chambers, freezers, gel doc, spectrophotometer, rotavapors, chiller, PCR and CO2 incubators, bioreactor, bacterial growth incubators, microscopes, high-speed centrifuge, sonicator, and RO and Milli-Q water.
- Technical and business mentoring.
- Routes into seed fund schemes and introductions to angel and venture investors.
Who can apply
- Founders of a proposed or existing registered firm. The application asks for the firm's legal entity, so decide your structure first.
- Work in the centre's thrust areas: pharma, biotech and renewable energy. ASPIRE labels this centre pharma and chemistry.
- Outside founders are welcome. ASPIRE says its centres serve entrepreneurs from the campus and from the surrounding region, and nothing in the application asks about university affiliation.
How selection works: not published. The application asks for your research background, publications and patents alongside a business plan covering product development, core competence, team, execution timelines and commercial potential.
How to apply: fill the incubation proforma linked from the ASPIRE-TBI site. Questions to admintbi@uohyd.ernet.in or aspire@uohyd.ac.in. You will be asked to state the physical space you need, and to confirm that no commercial activity will be carried out at ASPIRE-TBI during incubation.
