About MSME Business Incubator (MSME Technology Business Incubator Host Institution, MSME Innovative Scheme)
The MSME Business Incubator is the institute's Host Institution role under the Ministry of MSME's Innovative Scheme, incubation component. The ministry runs the calls as MSME Idea Hackathons. The institute evaluates the ideas it receives before an external committee shortlists them and the ministry makes the final selection.
What you get
- Financial assistance from the ministry for selected ideas, taken through the host institute you choose
Who can apply
- MSME Idea Hackathon 4.0: people aged 18-35 from across India
- MSME Women Idea Hackathon 3.0: women innovators and women-owned MSMEs across India
- Both calls are listed as past. Check the ministry's portal for a current call.
How selection works: Registration, host institute evaluation, external committee shortlist, ministry evaluation, Domain Expert Selection Committee, then final selection by the Project Monitoring & Advisory Committee.
How to apply: Complete BI registration on the Udyam portal, then join the MSME Idea Hackathon through the ministry's hackathon registration page.
