About Tech For Good Programme

The Tech For Good Programme is BGV's accelerator for early-stage technology ventures that aim to solve social or environmental problems. It is a six-week hybrid programme, delivered online and from BGV's London offices, and it is followed by six more weeks of coaching and mentoring. BGV invests in each selected company and takes equity in return. It selects 10-15 companies twice a year, and every BGV portfolio company starts here.

What you get

  • An investment from BGV in exchange for equity
  • Six weeks of intensive learning, online and in London
  • Six weeks of coaching and mentoring after the programme
  • Ongoing access to The BGV Platform and community once you join the portfolio

Who can apply

  • Early-stage ventures building technology for social or environmental impact
  • A company that is, or will be, incorporated in the UK and limited by shares
  • Founders with the right to work in the UK
  • A commitment of about 8-10 hours a week, spread across two or three days
  • Solo applicants, though BGV says it is more likely to invest in a team

How selection works: BGV says its average acceptance rate is about 3-4%, and that over 70% of applicants already have at least a prototype or MVP. Its pages describe the stage it accepts in two ways, so ask the team if you are unsure whether you fit.

How to apply: Apply through the application page on BGV's website. Applications for the autumn 2026 intake are closed. You can also get in touch to talk about your venture before applying, with no warm introduction needed.
