About Incubation at SNS Incubation Centre
SNS Incubation Centre admits ventures at four stages, from ideation to scale-up, into incubation cells on the BIT Sindri campus. The documents we read give no intake dates and date from 2019 to 2021, so confirm with the centre that it is admitting companies.
What you get
- Co-working or individual office space with furniture, storage and air-conditioning
- Round-the-clock Wi-Fi and LAN, shared printing and scanning, conference halls, auditoriums, library and cafeteria
- Access to the institute's Centre of Excellence lab by Siemens and other labs
- Monthly group mentoring and one-to-one sessions, pitching and networking opportunities
- In-house help with accounting, tax, company secretary, legal and IP services, at no or discounted fees
- Introductions to angel investors, venture capitalists and financial institutions
- Permission to brand your company as Incubated by BIT Sindri
- Optional seed funding as a soft loan, subject to funds, for registered companies only
Who can apply
- BIT Sindri engineering graduates, faculty and staff, alumni and research partners
- Outside startups and companies: the registration procedure says they need registration under the Jharkhand Government
- Technology startups first; other fields considered
How selection works: applicants submit a Pre-Admission Response Sheet, then a formal application with a detailed proposal. Experts review it, there is an initial meeting, and the centre's evaluation committee decides admission under one of three venture categories.
Cost and equity: incubated companies pay monthly rent plus electricity and other charges. The centre says it holds a share of companies it invests in and can sell its shares after 5 Years.
