About Pre-Incubation
Pre-Incubation is aimed at student startups and exists to take an idea to the point where it can stand as a venture. The programme card says little beyond that, and the incubator's own counters track student pre-startups separately from its startups.
What you get
- A place in the incubator's student pipeline, with mentorship and the campus facilities behind it.
- Through SEEP, the annual student competition, finalists in the 2024 edition were given a six-month pre-incubation place with funding and mentorship.
Who can apply
- Student startups. The page does not say whether that means BITS Hyderabad students only.
How selection works: for the SEEP route, applications go through a prequalifier judged by an outside panel and then a grand finale pitch. The 2025 prequalifier shortlisted thirty applications.
