About Millet Mission Initiative — millet carts for women self-help groups

CSVTU-FORTE invited registered women self-help groups to apply for millet carts under a millet promotion initiative supported by REC Foundation. The cart is a mobile unit for selling millet-based food, snacks and drinks. The notice was dated 10 March 2026 and applications closed on 21 March 2026, so this is a past round.

What you get

  • A millet vending cart allotted to the group
  • Free training on millet processing, hygienic food handling and small business management before allotment

Who can apply

  • A registered women's self-help group with at least five active members
  • A working bank account in the group's name
  • Preference to groups already in millet processing, value addition or food vending, and to groups of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes
  • Documents needed: the group registration certificate, a member list with Aadhaar copies, and the group bank passbook

How selection works: A committee appointed by CSVTU-FORTE decides, and its decision is final. The cart may only be used for millet work and may not be sold or transferred.

How to apply: The notice asks for the filled form to be submitted to the CSVTU-FORTE office; its cover brief mentions an online form on the website instead. Ask the office which route applies if the scheme runs again.
