About The Edugild programme
Edugild runs a single programme rather than a menu of schemes, and describes it as eight layers of support sequenced to how a company grows. Applications are open all year and reviewed as they arrive.
What you get
- Grant support and micro-investments for validated ideas.
- An operator-mentor who has built in your category, plus a domain specialist, with regular sessions through the active sprint.
- Desk space at MIT India campuses, shared tooling, legal templates, accounting help and a go-to-market playbook matched to your stage.
- Bootcamps, short sprints and cohort-based labs, joined at the stage you are at.
- Access to Edugild-hosted national pitch events and seeded slots at outside startup competitions.
- Warm introductions to partner companies for pilots, paid proofs of concept and early customers.
- Access to MIT India labs and faculty research groups, and help with IP filings for deep-tech teams.
- Founder peer groups, an alumni network, events and a chat community for cohort members.
Who can apply
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students at any Indian college or university.
- Recent graduates and students on a gap year building full-time.
- Solo founders and small teams alike.
- No traction, prototype, co-founder or particular degree is required, and you do not have to study inside the MIT India network.
How selection works: Edugild says it looks for a problem you can describe in one clear sentence, evidence you have spoken to potential users, and a clear reason you are the right person to build it. Applications go to an Edugild selection committee, and reapplying after a rejection is encouraged.
How to apply: Fill the application form on the Edugild site. It asks for a specialty track, your college and year of study, what you are building, the problem and why you, your stage and team size, and an optional link to a deck, video or prototype. Edugild says decisions come in under ten working days. For anything that is not an application, write to edcell@mitaoe.ac.in.
