About Innovation and Incubation Fund
The fund supports projects from students, young professionals, and women founders. Regular calls for ideas/projects are issued. Financial support is also provided for entrepreneurship activities per student, and for patent filing through the KAPILA scheme. The fund transfers EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Program) funds to students. It also supports project and prototype development under AICTE Idea Lab. Guidelines for providing support to ‘Student led Pre-Incubation & Incubation Projects and Seed Funding to the Start-Ups created’ are in place. The fund operates through calls for ideas/projects throughout the year. The fund also supports various events and workshops related to innovation and entrepreneurship. The process for claiming fellowship is also outlined for students under the IUPF. The fund encourages students to participate in hackathons and startup competitions. It also provides financial assistance for entrepreneurship activities. The fund also aims to support startups by providing seed funding. The fund is managed by a set of committees for the Innovation & Incubation Fund. Overall, the fund serves as a crucial financial mechanism to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the university and support the growth of early-stage startups.
