About BSNL Research, Innovation and Incubation Centre (RIIC)
BSNL set up this centre at the Guru Nanak group as a working telecom lab. It is stocked with wired-access and optical-fibre equipment — add-drop multiplexers, primary multiplexers, modems, managed and unmanaged switches, hubs, routers, structured cabling and testers, fibre patch cords and optical power meters — so teams can connect Internet-of-Things and machine-to-machine devices into a real network and test them.
What you get
- Bench time on the telecom and optical-fibre equipment, including routing and virtual-LAN configuration work.
- A focus on AI, IoT and industrial IoT, semiconductors, drones, GIS monitoring and ICT solutions for Industry 4.0 automation.
- Curated mentors and domain experts, and support as far as acquiring intellectual property.
Who can apply
- Faculty, students and alumni of the Guru Nanak institutions. BSNL’s invitation on the page names those three groups.
- Its incubation role is described as taking on mature and pre-incubated ideas from inside the group, so unconnected founders should not count on access.
How to apply: no route is published. Ask the campus.
