About Navrachna Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED)
Navrachna Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development is I.T.S Engineering College's own subsidiary for turning student ideas into ventures, based on the college's Knowledge Park 3 campus. It runs three named schemes and a shared set of on-campus facilities.
What you get
- A fabrication lab with CNC laser and plasma cutting, and around twenty concurrent prototyping workstations
- 3D printing on FDM machines and a resin (stereolithography) printer
- High-end simulation and AI workstations, offered on a rental basis
- A twenty-three-seat co-working area and fully equipped meeting rooms
- Mentorship across business domains, patent-filing cost support, and help with company registration and incorporation paperwork
- Under NewGen-IEDC specifically: prototype development support and reimbursement of incorporation costs for successful teams
- Under StartinUP specifically: a monthly sustenance allowance for idea-stage ventures, a prototype grant, and seed capital and marketing assistance, with extra support for women-led or regionally focused ventures
- Under MSME-BI specifically: introductions to funding agencies and eligibility for a Ministry of MSME prototype-funding scheme
Who can apply
- NewGen-IEDC and MSME-BI both require at least one team member to be a current I.T.S Engineering College student — MSME-BI's own page is framed entirely around students working "within the campus"
- StartinUP's page uses broader language about "emerging founders," citing the Government of Uttar Pradesh's state startup policy, but the foundation does not publish a separate eligibility statement for it and its own "Register for Incubation Support" button is not a working link
How selection works: For NewGen-IEDC, proposals are shortlisted on innovation, feasibility and commercial potential, then go to a final pitch in front of the college's Business Incubation team and industry mentors before a grant is approved. For MSME-BI, an idea first goes to the college's internal BI Sub-Committee, then to the Ministry of MSME for prototype-funding approval.
How to apply: No working online application form was found for any of the three schemes. NewGen-IEDC uses a downloadable proposal format submitted ahead of a stated deadline. For general enquiries, contact the foundation at head.nfed@its.edu.in.
