About Agribusiness Incubation (ABI) Centre – on-campus and off-campus incubation
The ABI Centre at ICAR-NRRI (formerly CRRI), Cuttack was started in 2016 under ICAR's NAIF scheme. It incubates in two modes: on campus for rice-based enterprises, and off campus for Farmer Producer Companies and agri startups outside rice.
What you get
- Infrastructure, office space and on-farm testing
- Technology linkages and upscaling
- Mentoring and guidance
- Business plan formulation, branding and analytics
- Support with IP portfolio, technology licensing and validation
- Advice on company registration and compliance
Who can apply
- Budding entrepreneurs in the rice-based ecosystem (on campus)
- Farmer Producer Companies and all other agri startups not related to rice (off campus)
- On-campus space is limited, so off-campus mode is used when it runs out
