About On-site Incubation

On-site incubation is for a client who has licensed a technology from ICAR-IIHR and needs the institute's facilities to scale it up. The scientist who developed the technology works with the client during scale-up.

What you get

  • Technology up-scaling facilities, including infrastructure, space and technical inputs
  • Business development services: regulatory requirements, standards and compliance, product, process and people development
  • Marketing assistance, including trade fairs, exhibitions and industry meets
  • The option to sell through the institute's sales network (ATIC)
  • Hand-holding by the innovating scientist and the BPD Unit

Who can apply

  • A purchaser of an ICAR-IIHR technology licence
  • Individuals, farmers, self help groups, NGOs, start-ups, MSMEs, firms, large companies and foreign companies, in five membership categories

How selection works: first-come, first-served by the day the request is submitted, with preference for diverse technologies. Space is allotted for an initial six months and the Director can extend it to a maximum of one year.

How to apply: Pay the annual membership and the refundable caution deposit, fill the BPD membership form, and sign an MOU with the Nodal Officer, BPD. Write to bpd.iihr@icar.gov.in.
