IMI Incubation Foundation incubation (outside startups)

The foundation's main route for startups from outside the campus, as well as IMI students. It is run under the institute's innovation and entrepreneurship policy. There are no published intake dates, so it works as a rolling application.

Who can apply

• Startups and young entrepreneurs, including those from other colleges and from outside the campus
• Registration is not stated as a requirement; the form asks whether you are a registered entity

How selection works: The Screening Committee, led by the CEO, does the first evaluation and mentoring. Suitable applicants then appear before a Selection Committee of board members, industry and faculty mentors, funding agencies, industry associations, government, academic institutions and partner incubators. Selected startups are supported for an initial one year, extendable by one more year, for a nominal fee and a stake in equity (the policy states 3.00% to 5.00%).
