About MU Ventures — Dropout Fund
The Dropout Fund is the one MU Ventures fund taking applications. It is for people under 25 who have left school, an undergraduate course or a postgraduate course to build something, and it backs them before there is a product — MU Ventures describes the point of entry as paper-napkin stage, when the idea is still on paper and the prototype is not built.
What you get
- A cheque, plus a twelve-month build year inside the Masters' Union ecosystem.
- Up to 100 Founder Credits, which MU Ventures converts into what it calls Conviction Capital.
- An academic safety net if the startup does not continue.
- Monthly one-to-one mentorship sessions to work through problems and track progress.
- A workspace on the Masters' Union campus in Gurugram.
- Tech tools and credits to design, build and ship an MVP.
- Introductions across the Masters' Union network of founders, CXOs and potential customers.
- PR, video assets and branding support.
- Help building a pitch and meeting investors for the next round.
Who can apply
- Builders under 25. MU Ventures states it is open to all builders under that age.
- School, undergraduate or postgraduate dropouts, for this fund specifically.
- Any sector — MU Ventures is sector-agnostic.
- No product and no traction needed. Idea-only is fine, and there is no stated requirement to have incorporated a company.
- You do not need to be a Masters' Union student.
How selection works: MU Ventures says most of its funding decisions happen in under ten days. Beyond that it publishes no panel, criteria or timeline. Submitting the form triggers an email with round-one instructions, so expect at least one stage after the form.
How to apply: Through the MU Ventures application form, which covers all three funds. It has four steps: your own details, your co-founders plus a one-minute video introducing them, three written questions, and your company details with a deck upload. Questions go to ventures@mastersunion.org.
