About NISE Start-up Incubation in Renewable Energy (RE) Sector

This is a call for proposals, not an always-open programme. NISE issued it in June 2025 with the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and the Atal Incubation Centre at IIT Delhi Sonipat Innovation Foundation, Haryana, to support and accelerate start-up-led innovation in renewable energy. The closing date for that round has passed. Watch mnre.gov.in for a repeat.

What you get

  • Support for an initial two years.
  • Possible extension by up to one more year, in two steps of six months, based on a performance review.

Who can apply

  • Start-ups recognised by DPIIT at the time of application.
  • Indian entities under the Companies Act, 2013, with at least 51% of shares held by Indian promoters.
  • Solutions at TRL 3 to 4 (a proof of concept or lab-validated prototype) with a clear path to TRL 6 to 8 during incubation.

How to apply: The original notice asked for the application form as a PDF, with all enclosures, emailed to incubation@nise.res.in. A later corrigendum revised the call, so check the current notice for the exact submission route.
