About Suzuki Next Bharat Fellowship
A one-to-three-year research fellowship for faculty members at Indian academic institutions, supporting translational research that turns emerging technologies into practical solutions for rural and informal sectors. The next round has not been announced. Fellows receive an annual research grant and are expected to mentor entrepreneurs in the firm's portfolio in return.

How selection works: applications are reviewed, a panel of experts shortlists the strongest proposals, shortlisted candidates present and discuss their work online in front of experts and representatives of the innovation centre, and a selection panel names the final fellows.
