Admission to the Business Incubation Centre

The centre admits startups through a structured application. Applicants submit a detailed application with a business plan, and the BIC management team screens it for eligibility and basic merit before shortlisted applicants present to an expert evaluation committee.

What you get

• Co-working space and access to the IKG-PTU makerspace
• Help with intellectual property filings and company registration
• Strategic mentorship, training and workshops, and access to government startup schemes
• Piloting opportunities and access to 100+ investors, as listed in the centre's brochure
• Seed funding support from Agnel Funding Agencies, with no amounts or terms stated

Who can apply

• Faculty and staff, students, research scholars and alumni of IKG-PTU, and staff of state universities and affiliated colleges
• Institutions in R&D collaboration with the university, and external innovators whose ideas fit the centre's mission
• Proposals with potential for intellectual property, active engagement with the centre, and social or strategic impact
• Selected startups must incorporate as unlisted companies under the Companies Act, 2013, within three months of approval

How selection works: the committee weighs innovation and technology content, market potential and scalability, the strength of the core team, financial viability and funding needs, and time to market and expected break-even.

How to apply: read the admission procedure on the centre's policy page, prepare the application and business plan, and write to bic@ptu.ac.in with questions.
