About Innovation & Incubation Centre (IIC)

The Innovation & Incubation Centre (IIC) is where SGRR University's students and faculty take an idea towards a company. It is set up to turn innovations into commercially viable products, through patenting and commercialisation.

What you get

  • Incubation at the centre, with access to mentors who have multidisciplinary expertise
  • Guidance on filing patents and other intellectual property applications
  • Office space at the centre, which the company pays for as applicable

Who can apply

  • Full-time students enrolled at SGRR University
  • Full-time faculty members of SGRR University, who need the institute's prior permission first

How selection works: A review committee headed by the Director of the IIC reviews the proposal on readiness, feasibility, market strategy, competitiveness and sustainability. Founders may be asked to present.

How to apply: Students fill in the IIC registration form, which asks for the startup idea and its sector. Faculty first file the academic information form and the business support form. Send questions to info@sgrru.ac.in.
