About NIDHI Seed Support System
The NIDHI Seed Support System is the funding behind the centre's incubation phase. The Department of Science & Technology gave the centre a grant to invest in its resident startups, and the centre has disbursed most of it. The Department's own published list of incubators holding seed support includes the centre.
What you get
- Seed capital for the things that get a product to market: testing, field trials, certification and test marketing
- Support can take the form of a soft loan, equity or a seed grant
- Money is released in tranches as you hit agreed milestones, with reviews in between
Who can apply
- Startups already incubated at the centre. This is not a scheme you apply to from outside.
- You can take seed support only once across any scheme or open fund
How selection works: The centre's managing committee evaluates viability, scalability, market fit and innovation potential, then recommends to the chairperson for approval.
How to apply: There is no separate application. Seed funding is decided through the incubation application, so apply to the incubation phase and raise it there.
