BioNEST incubation (SIIE-SRISTI BioNEST)

SRISTI BioNEST incubates biotechnology and nature-based ventures at its office in Ahmedabad and its incubation space at Grambharti, Gandhinagar. It combines physical incubation with an in situ model, where grassroots innovators are supported at their own locations. There is no published intake window; founders write to the BioNEST and a review committee decides.

What you get

• Mentoring from domain experts and an advisory panel, from idea and proof of concept to product validation and commercialisation
• Lab access: microbiology, molecular biology, phytochemistry and formulation, and analytical profiling with HPLC and HPTLC
• Instruments available for hire, with separate rental rates for academia and industry
• Office space, co-working desks, private cabins and meeting rooms
• Help with patent and trademark filings, including prior-art searches
• Angel and venture capital pitching opportunities, brand and packaging help, and links to chemical-free retail stores
• Help finding and applying for government funding

Who can apply

• Business owners who already run a business but need help with legal compliance, quality control or business development
• Students and others with innovative project ideas who need help starting a business
• Business owners who want a networking platform and specialised mentoring
• Educational qualification is not the key criterion

How selection works: An expert review committee evaluates the idea, product or process. The process varies with the business model, mission, future plan and social impact.

How to apply: Email bionest@sristiinnovations.com or call the number on the contact page, Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM. There is no online form. Incubatees are assisted for one year from the signing of the MoU, and the agreement can be extended on mutually agreed terms.
