About Incubation Programme

SCEI's main programme. It incubates early-stage manufacturing and technology startups that can show they are able to innovate and build new products or services, and describes the work as training, mentoring, prototyping, proof-of-concept validation and access to its wider network. Applications are open on a rolling basis — no intake window or deadline is published.

What you get

  • Business and technology mentoring, which SCEI names as the part it puts the most effort into
  • Office space with a computer and Wi-Fi
  • Use of SCEI's fabrication lab and prototyping equipment
  • Access to the host university's research labs
  • Cloud credits from AWS and IBM
  • Investor introductions
  • Two years of incubation, extendable by another year

Who can apply

  • Early-stage manufacturing and technology startups
  • The one stated requirement: your idea must be viable and convertible into a private limited company
  • No restriction to Symbiosis students, faculty or alumni is published, and no sector, state or age gate is stated

How selection works: SCEI publishes no selection steps, screening rounds or timeline. Ask what happens after you submit.

How to apply: Use the apply button in the header of scei.org.in or on the incubation programme page, which opens SCEI's online application. Questions go to office@scei.org.in.
