How selection works: applicants submit a five-minute video and a slide deck, and are assessed on technology innovation, technology impact, team strength and fit with TechX.
How to apply: apply online through the TechX application platform. The 2027 cohort window is listed as 22 July to 27 September 2026, and some NZTC pages say it is closed. Register your interest on the programme page for the next round.
Accepted startups sign an Advanced Subscription Agreement before the programme starts. Under it, the grant converts into equity held by NZTC under certain conditions. The pages give both a 12-week and a 14-week length, so confirm the timetable before you plan.
