The corporate NGO structure — preferred by CSR donors and FCRA applicants
Here is the full section 8 company registration process, end to end — every step and who handles what. Knowing the sequence up front helps you keep documents ready and avoid the back-and-forth that delays most filings.
Name Reservation
The proposed name must indicate the non-profit nature (e.g., Foundation, Centre, Association, Institute).
Regional Director Licence Application
Form INC-12 is filed with the Regional Director (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) for the Section 8 licence, along with detailed objects and activities.
Licence Grant
The Regional Director reviews and grants the licence — typically within 15–20 working days.
SPICe+ Incorporation
Using the licence, SPICe+ is filed with MCA to complete incorporation. The company does not need 'Private Limited' in its name.
12A and 80G Registration
We assist with applying for 12A (income tax exemption) and 80G (donor deduction) certificates from the Income Tax Department.
Section 8 Company Registration is processed through the official government portal. You can file directly there, or have our experts manage the entire submission and follow-up for you.
