Before Applying
Several programs impose eligibility constraints: AFBIC’s AOP, AIP, and SOP require founders to be based in West Bengal or have ventures originating from the state. The NUZEN grant is limited to student innovators. The Goa Rajya Vidnyanik Puraskar is open only to Goan residents. Most competition-based programs like NERVE OCP and SmartAgri OCP require a registered startup with a working prototype, while DBT’s Design for BioE3 is open to students and researchers.
Urgency: AFBIC’s three programs and the NUZEN grant all close on 30 June 2026 — applications must be submitted today. NERVE CoE and SmartAgri CoE OCPs close on 15 July 2026. The DBT challenge accepts monthly rolling submissions until 31 October 2026. Programs with rolling applications — Women’s Economic Empowerment, Goa Rajya Vidnyanik Puraskar, and ISGBB — have no fixed deadline but may evaluate on a first-come basis.
