The Tech Next Challenge is Accenture's open-innovation competition for deep-tech startups selling to enterprises. The eighth edition ran in 2026 on the theme of enterprise reinvention through autonomous technologies; applications closed on 20 July 2026 and the Grand Finale was held on 12 August 2026 at the Accenture Innovation Hub in Bangalore, so the programme is currently between editions and no date has been announced for the next one.

There are seven tracks, each anchored to an Accenture business unit that takes solutions to enterprise clients: Cybersecurity (autonomous cyber defence), Digital Core (autonomous cloud and data), Finance (autonomous finance operations), Industry and Enterprise (vertical AI), Song (autonomous growth, marketing and service agents), Supply Chain and Engineering (physical AI, robotics and autonomous operations) and Talent (workforce autonomy). You apply to one track, and it determines which unit assesses you.

Who can apply

  • Early or growth-stage startups building defensible, technology-led innovation — not seed-stage or ideation companies

  • Solutions in autonomous AI, autonomous physical systems, autonomous infrastructure or autonomous operations
  • Headquartered in India, or with an Indian co-founder, or with established India operations or engineering
  • Paid engagements — pilots or deployments — already delivered to enterprise clients

How selection works: entries go through two rounds of evaluation led by senior Accenture leaders and subject-matter experts from the Reinvention Partner units. Shortlisted finalists pitch at the Grand Finale to a jury of CXOs, technology leaders and investors, and one winner is selected in each of the seven tracks.

How to apply: through the application form linked from every Apply button on the challenge site, choosing a single track. If another track also fits, say so in the form's second-fit question. There is no application fee and no equity commitment for applying.
