Track record

What CMRIT Incubation Center reports about its portfolio.

The count of 56 startups is the centre's own published figure, covering the CMRIT ecosystem from 2019 to 2026. The centre also says many of those startups are recognised by DPIIT or registered as MSMEs — that is a fact about the startups, not about the centre.

56Startups supportedThe centre's own figure for the CMRIT ecosystem between 2019 and 2026, not an audited count and not limited to the incubation centre alone.

All figures self-reported — sites.google.com, as of 2026.

Programmes they run

Standing programmes at CMRIT Incubation Center, separate from the funding calls above.

Applications for pre-incubation, incubation and the accelerator are reviewed on a rolling basis, and every programme is entered by application plus interview. The centre does not publish whether its programmes are charged or whether it takes equity.

  • Idea – Prototype
  • In person
What you get, who can apply and how to apply

CMR Institute of Technology is recognised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as a Host Institute, and this is the pathway that recognition opens. It is aimed squarely at people who want to prove an idea works before committing to a company, and it is explicitly open to innovators from outside the college.

What you get

  • Design support: product and industrial design guidance, CAD modelling, engineering drawings, design-for-manufacture reviews, interface design for digital products, and design-thinking workshops
  • Strategy support: market analysis, competitor mapping, customer segmentation, business model development, go-to-market and channel planning, IP strategy and patent landscape analysis

Recognitions & empanelments

Official approvals this incubator holds.

The only recognition the centre claims is the Ministry of MSME Host Institute status, and it checks out against the Ministry's own list. It does not claim an Atal Incubation Centre or a DST-recognised technology business incubator, and nothing on its pages supports either.

Host Institute, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India

Confirmed against the Ministry's own published Host Institute list, which carries CMR Institute of Technology Bengaluru at the AECS Layout address. The recognition supports proof-of-concept work by students, faculty, alumni and innovators from outside the college. The centre does not publish how long the recognition runs, and the Ministry's list does not show it.

How to apply to CMRIT Incubation Center

  • head.incubation@cmrit.ac.in

About CMRIT Incubation Center

CMRIT Incubation Center, CMR Institute of Technology Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

यह केंद्र CMR Institute of Technology के भीतर है, जो CMR Group of Institutions का हिस्सा है।

head.incubation@cmrit.ac.in

CMR Institute of Technology
