About HCL Foundation

HCL Foundation is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of HCLTech (HCL Technologies), established in 2011 to drive inclusive and sustainable development in India. Headquartered in Noida, it designs and runs programmes across rural and urban India in the areas of environment, health, education, skilling and disaster response.

The HCLTech Grant

Launched in 2015, the HCLTech Grant is HCL Foundation's flagship programme to identify, recognise and fund high-impact NGOs working in rural India. Framed around recognising NGOs as the "Fifth Estate" — catalysts of social change — the Grant awards multi-year funding to organisations with a proven track record of impact in Water, Biodiversity, Health and Education. Winning NGOs in each category receive ₹5 crore for a four-year project, and eight runners-up receive ₹50 lakh each for two-year projects, selected through a rigorous multi-stage jury process.

Impact

To date the HCLTech Grant has committed ₹203.50 crore in funds, impacting 2.3 million lives across 174 districts in 22 states and 3 union territories, reaching 61,171 villages.
