Incubation Centre, IIT Patna (IC IITP)

IC IITP is India's leading incubator specialising in Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM), Medical Electronics, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Located within the 500+ acre IIT Patna campus at Bihta, the centre was established in 2015 with a total project outlay of ₹47.10 crore, supported by MeitY and the Department of IT, Government of Bihar.

The nickname 'IC' — a nod to 'Integrated Circuits' — captures the centre's DNA: precision-engineered support for founders working at the intersection of hardware, health technology, and deep tech.

Startups receive access to a 30,000 sq. ft. facility with advanced electronics labs, a Class 100 clean room, co-working spaces, and the Zero Lab ideation hub. Partners include AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Delhi Biodesign Centre, NEILIT Patna, and the Indian Angel Network.

Track Record

IC IITP has screened over 1,000 business plans, supported 100+ startups, facilitated ₹600+ lakhs in seed funding, and seen 25+ patents filed. Notable incubatees include Bionic Hope, 4Mirrortech Innovatives, and CEIR Mobility.

Who Should Apply

Founders building hardware-intensive deep-tech, medical electronics, IoT, automation, and ICT products. Both IIT Patna-affiliated and external founders are eligible. As a partner under the Bihar Startup Policy, IC IITP is steadily establishing Patna as a credible deep-tech launchpad outside the traditional startup corridors.
