Pfizer India has been operating in the country since 1950 and is headquartered in Mumbai. Through its INDovation programme, Pfizer promotes and supports startups developing novel healthcare solutions with potential to improve patient outcomes in India and globally.
INDovation is run in collaboration with DPIIT, NITI Aayog, Atal Innovation Mission, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi, and Social Alpha. The programme focuses on MedTech startups innovating in screening, diagnostics, health monitoring, and treatment enablers, with particular emphasis on non-communicable diseases, oncology, brain health, maternal and child health, and immunisation. The 2025 edition selected 14 healthtech startups, each receiving grants of INR 60 lakh and 18 months of incubation support including expert mentorship, clinical validation, regulatory approval assistance, and pilot deployment in public health settings.
