Venture Center

Venture Center is India's premier award-winning technology business incubator, set up as an initiative of CSIR's National Chemical Laboratory (NCL). Incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, the organisation was founded on 10 January 2007 and is located within the 100-acre NCL Innovation Park on Dr. Homi Bhabha Road, Pune.

Focus Areas

Venture Center is sector-agnostic but concentrates deepest expertise in science-based technologies across four core domains:

Track Record & Awards

Venture Center has supported 750+ startups since inception and currently hosts 120–150+ residents. Awards include the National Entrepreneurship Award 2019, AABI (Asia) Incubator of the Year 2018, and the National Award for Technology Business Incubators from the President of India (2016).

Who Should Apply

Science and technology entrepreneurs, academic spinouts, PhD/postdoc founders, and innovation-driven startups — especially those with inventive, IP-backed products in life sciences, materials, chemicals, and clean energy. Ventures at ideation through early revenue stages with a core scientific/technical differentiation are the strongest fit.
