About Incubation at AIC NIPER-Guwahati Foundation
This is the centre's one way in, and it is open all year — there is no cohort and no closing date. You apply through the incubation form on its site and pick the kind of support you need.
What you get
- Incubation space on the NIPER Guwahati campus at Changsari, or a virtual place if you will not be working on site.
- Laboratory space and shared instruments to use.
- Technical, legal, commercial and financial support.
- Mentoring and help with intellectual property and technology, legal and contract questions, raising resources, and introductions.
- Connections between industry and academia, and access to the centre's mentor panel.
Who can apply
- Entrepreneurs, innovators, early-stage healthcare companies, NGOs and traditional healers.
- Students and graduates of NIPER Guwahati and of other education and research institutions in North East India, startup businesses, and eligible residents.
- You do not need a registered company — write "N/A" for the startup name if you have not incorporated yet.
- Focus areas: health and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, agriculture and allied fields, water, sanitation and solid waste management, plus medical devices and food technology on the form's own list.
How selection works: The centre does not publish a selection process. Incubatees are taken on by signing an agreement with the centre, and several have been welcomed publicly at its North East Bio-Incubators Conference.
How to apply: Fill the incubation application form on the centre's website, attach a valid identity document for yourself and for each co-founder, and answer the five short project questions. Enquiries go to info@aicniperguwahati.in.
