Virtual Incubation

Written specifically for companies located outside the campus. Everything about eligibility, selection and term is the same as resident incubation; what changes is that no office infrastructure is allotted, and the monthly fee is lower.

What you get

• Mentors matched to your sector, and a faculty advisor on technology questions on request.
• Pitch practice and introductions to angel investors and venture capital firms.
• Training on business planning, marketing, diligence, funding and scale-up.
• Referrals to legal, accounting and intellectual property professionals, whose own fees you pay.
• Hiring access to the college group's graduates.
• The same conditional route to seed funding or a loan, three months after admission.
• No office space, computer or furniture. Those are explicitly excluded for virtually incubated startups.

Who can apply

• Companies based away from the Allenhouse campus, on the same terms as resident incubation.
• Incorporated, or incorporating within two months of signing the incubation agreement; under ten years old; under a stated turnover ceiling; at least fifty-one percent Indian-owned; not formed by splitting up an existing business.

How selection works: identical to resident incubation. Submission and preliminary screening, then evaluation of the business proposal by the selection committee, then induction on signing the incubation agreement.

How to apply: use the application form printed as an annexure at the back of the incubation policy on the institute's innovation and incubation page, and contact the incubation coordinator at innovationhub@allenhouse.ac.in.
