About Startup India certificate of recommendation
The incubator recommends startups for Startup India recognition and charges nothing for it. There are two phases and you must clear both — clearing one is not enough.
What you get
- A digital UIN and a recommendation letter
- A validation page third parties can use to check the recommendation is genuine
Who can apply
- Organisations between zero and three years of operations
- Startups with innovative technology or product solutions that can scale
- Organisations creating innovative new products inside their current industry to bring better efficiency or cost savings
- Not services-sector businesses that are not backed by technology or by a novel way of operating
How selection works: in phase one you fill a questionnaire and attach a presentation in the prescribed format. If you clear it, phase two asks for your incorporation certificate or registered partnership deed, self-attested audited account statements and income tax returns from inception, and an undertaking signed by the founders on a letterhead. Shortlisted startups are then called for a personal interview and document verification, which the incubator says happens within one to two weeks.
How to apply: apply online through the Startup India section of the incubator's site. Questions go to info@aii.amity.edu.
