About Ashraya Hastha Trust grants for nonprofits
Ashraya Hastha Trust makes grants to registered nonprofits in six cause areas. It takes proposals through an online expression-of-interest form on a rolling basis, and it also approaches organisations directly.
What you get
- Grant funding for a nonprofit programme in health, education, livelihoods, animal welfare, environment or disaster relief
- No application fee
Who can apply
- Nonprofit institutions only. Individuals are not entertained
- Registered in India as a Section 8 company, Trust or Society, with 12A and 80G, for at least three years
- A programme at the post-pilot or validation stage, with a clear path to scale and a replicable solution
- A dedicated full-time team and a commitment to measurement, evaluation and learning
How selection works: Evaluation typically takes three to six months, depending on how many applications arrive. It runs through review of the expression of interest, a request for a detailed proposal and budget, a presentation and then a decision.
How to apply: Read the general instructions for grant-seeking organisations, then complete the proposals form in three steps: about the organisation, a previous project and the proposed programme. Keep your 12A, 80G and FCRA details, three years of audited statements and a proposed budget ready. Questions go to info@ashrayahasthatrust.org.
