About FINILOOP Plastic Lab
FINILOOP Plastic Lab is AspireLabs' longest programme and the one it is best known for. It sits inside FINILOOP, short for Financial Inclusion and Improved Livelihoods Out of Plastics, a city-level solid waste management model aimed at plastic-waste-free cities. AspireLabs runs it with WASTE in the Netherlands and Trust of People in India, and the IKEA Foundation supports it. Applications are closed at the moment.
What you get
- 14 months of hand-holding support, plus nine months of post-programme support.
- Intensive mentoring from startup experts, functional strategy experts and domain and technical experts.
- A prototype development grant for selected startups.
- One-to-one mentoring with industry experts and entrepreneurs, and workshops.
- Technical support in building your prototype, and product development mentoring.
- B2B meetings with larger startups and corporates.
- A pre-demo day and a demo day, and introductions to investors.
- Help with filing intellectual property and registering your company.
- Access to the Noida office during the programme.
Who can apply
- Early-stage, technology-driven startups in plastic waste management.
- You may be based anywhere in India, but your work must help Jaipur become plastic-waste free.
- You do not have to relocate.
How selection works: two rounds of evaluation. Startups are judged on problem-solution fit, potential environmental and social impact, the team, and business viability.
